Engin miss

At this point you need to check your ignition to your spark plugs.
Using a spark tester, you should be getting a bright blue spark from each spark plug wire when the engine is cranked.
I know on my '64 Evinrude that it needs to jump a 1/4" gap, on yours it's likely 7/16" but I'm not sure.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will chime in.
Kimcrwbr1 and racerone are very helpful and have great knowledge of these motors.
Once you know that your ignition is up to snuff, you can then move on to fuel.
My little '64 'Rude turned out to have a weak coil and a faulty carb float.
Good luck!

idle 800 rpm when in the water and in gear....you want a 7/16 spark....i ran a 90 evinrude for many years and the idle was where spark plugs were the most critical....if i could run the motor at idle out of gear and it was smooth i would stay with my existing plugs...any miss at all i replaced them....i also would run a can of sea foam through that motor if it was mine..mix it with the fuel according to directions..i also made sure i ran the motor wide open for a mile or so every trip....
