Electrical problems with Volvo penta 5.7 in 2002 stingray

I have a 2002 Stingray cruiser with some electrical issues! 5.7 Volvo Penta ( 350 Chev. )
This boat sat under a cover for over two years now electrical is giving me some problems
Can anyone help me get wiring diagram. I think I might be able to resolve some issues with one
I have no power to coil key switch is fine, engine cranks fine as well
When I turn the key to the on position which wire or terminal at the coil is suppose to go live?

Ignition is the Pos. + pole. Distributor is Neg. - pole.

thank you for the reply however this is not the old can type coil it looks more like a transformer and has a plug not screws coming out of the top like the old school ones and they are not marked

What model engine is it? Carburated or Fuel Injected?

I'm with Chris....... find your engine model # and serial #.

Your ignition system is likely an EST HEI version.
DO NOT try to trouble-shoot the Ignition system using old-school methods.
