Electrical problem with DF 115?

For several years, this motor has always cranked and ran great. Was backing off the boat lift recently and the motor just quit with no sputtering or anything and it has never done this before. When I turned the key to crank it, the motor doesn't turn over. Nothing. I hear the fuel pump priming but nothing else. I have strong battery and gauges. I have checked all the fuses and they work. I don't suspect the starter because of the way the engine died. I suspect some other electrical problem. Any suggestions on what to check next?
