I have a 94 mariner 75hp motor

I have a 94 mariner 75hp motor and have had minor ele problems. Had to change battery after 1 yr. Voltmeter shows 12.5 volts. Is this motor a trickle charge vs full charge. What now. Hope someone can help....Thanks...Steve Eastlake

Is there anyone who can help me with my 75hp mariner electrical problem??? Is this motor trickle charge or full charge.....Any help at all would be appreciated. Steve

"I know nothing about mariners. That being said, your charging system was designed to charge the battery under normal conditions, but if you have a trolling motor, depth finder and radio on and you never get above 2000rpms you will have problems."

"Steve, It is likely your Mariner has a 6A charging system. You need to determine if it is working. To do this, measure voltage at battery, note reading a start the motor in the water or on the flush device. Now advance the throttle and see if the voltage rises. If it rises, the charger is working. If not, you likely have a bad rectifier or stator."
