I keep a lookout for electric start parts.
I have a 25 Hp Mariner. Manual. I'm wondering if there is electric start stuff for it?
Anybody have that info?

I'm gettin a little too old n' fragile to be yanking on this thing.

Starters for tose are out there, but rare and $$. All you need is the actual starter, however; you can use any old solenoid (and locate it in the boat). The flywheel already has the teeth, right?

What about charging the battery, you may be thinking? No problem, for a small, lawn mower battery will start that motor 20 times before needing a recharge.

Good logic, thanks.
I do that with the lights. Re-charge the batt. The Lawn mower battery lasted a few days with just the lights.
Good tip.

Correct! To that end, I have a bunch of LED's and Resistors off Ebay.
I have them down in the barn. I just hav'nt whipped my lazy be-hind into the project yet.

Oooops, and it's a big Ooops too. There's no Ring gear on my flywheel.
Now I dont know to ask for a new Flywheel or a Ring gear?
Anybody?

Post pictures of your machine !!!---------------Many of the 9.9 / 15 HP motors use the same starter / ring gear set-up.------------So finding those used parts could be easy !!
