Electric Fuel Pump Woes

I have a Honda 130 fuel injected outboard. Had fuel issues and thought it was the electric pump in hearing it run intermiting. Changed pump and did a bench run with it and the pump runs fine. After installing it and pluging it in the pump still runs intermiting. Checked power at the plug and I hear the main relay chatter when I check it with my test light. Installed a new relay and I get no power at all to the pump. Reinstalled the old one and its the same as before with it intermiting.
Has anyone dealt with this problem? new relay bad? a sensor?

need a helping hand

thanks

When you refer to a new relay, I assume you mean the main relay.

Does the test light flicker when the relay chatters?

It is possible that the new relay is bad, but unless you can test it, you will not know for sure.

Check the voltage coming out of all of your fuses and make sure the voltage is constant when you operate the key switch.

Make sure that your battery is good and fully charged. Also, make sure the connections are very clean and tight.

If you supply 12v directly to the pump, will the motor run?

More questions that answers at this point.
