Jegs does have the best price on these carbs and I send all my customers there to get them. The price they sell them for is less than I can buy them from my supplier so I try to save all my customers some money.

"Found out today that the Edelbrock #2696 Adapter and gaskets won't fit my Termoquad manifold. Called Edelbrock Tech Support, they agreed and referred me to TD Performance who told me that I need their adapter Trans Dapt #2034. JEGS can get it in 3-4 weeks, Advance Auto in 1 week and NAPA has a different brand that they can get overnight. I'll be at NAPA tomorrow morning. To be continued..."

Rats! Now you know. How close is the Edelbrock without an adapter?Looks like it might go. Have you tried a gasket for a Carter AFB?

Ahhhh Mike the Gasket is for a

Ahhhh Mike the Gasket is for a Thermoquad. the manifold is for a AFB.. The only spreadbore carb used on a Chrysler was a Rochester and that was late ( like 86 and later )The Thermoquad was never used as a marine carb that I know of.

"Mike, your manifold looks very similar to mine. Do you have a casting number (mine reads 2846704 05110)? Also, I am curious what the linkage in the upper right hand corner of the picture does? Anyone? It appears that it goes into the manifold??? Please let us know how you make out with the swap-out. Thanks."

The only Linkage I see is the choke.. Is that what your looking at with the 1 bolt holding it down?

FastJeff: The Carter gasket won't work-it has raised patterns on the bottom. David: You are 100% correct! I must have misunderstood the Installation Instructions. B. Fiesta: It is the choke! I'll get the casting number Sunday and post it. Thanks everyone!

Mike actually the gasket won't work because it is the wrong application for the gasket. you need the square bore gasket that is used with the AFB's

Sometimes the square gasket has all 4 throttle openings seperate and sometimes it is a open with 1 large like in the photo. The correct gasket for your application would be the 4142048 ... you can look at the picture to see what I mean.

The 440 in my boat came with an Edlebrock on an aluminum Chrysler manifold. Seems to start well, but the choke has never been wired. It is on my to do list, but thanks to this thread, I know where to tap in the 12 volts.

B. Fiesta: I checked the cast

B. Fiesta: I checked the casting numbers on the manifolds near the distributor and they are:
2846348 11X10 STBD eng and 2846348 11-11 on the PORT eng.
