I do not have the boat or the motor yet, but I needed to know something. I would have a recurring situation where I would need to install and take off a Yamaha portable. It would be used for about 6 weeks, then need to be taken off again and reinstalled in a few months. I would be using a hoist and not have to lift the 134 lbs.
My question is whether it is relatively easy to do that with a remote control model, like the Yamaha F20LPA ( Electric start, Power tilt, Remote control). I'm sure with the tiller models, they have battery and gas connections that are quick and easy. Are there ways to make the remote control connection easy? Would that turning arm thing stay with the motor or the boat?
thanks very much,
Fred
