On this project motor the Neutral Detent for the shifter lock assy is worn to where there is not really a detent anymore and shifter easily can be bumped/vibration may cause it to go into forward almost, but not the whole way into the forward position..I saw online that part was supposed to have a rubber coating on the lower area where the detents are and is now void of it and very rusty.Short of buying a better one, would a alittle work with say dremel to make a new detent sound feasable?
On a side note I got the motor running on about 4 pulls tonight.Don't think it has run in about 10 years,but with the great spark and compression numbers I was confident.Tried to tune in the idle, but hard to do in my small trash can.
