I picked up the old motor today for a project and the plugs in it were QL82C.According to parts it takes L77JC4 plug like my other motors.I could not see any physical difference in the plugs.Anyone familar with these other plugs?

Either QL77JC4 or QL82C can be used .

ITYWF that originally the recommended plugs were Champion L77J4 or AC M40FFX. Q77JC4 is the same as L77JC4 but with inductive interference suppression. I believe the C denotes a copper cored electrode distinguishing it from the old, now obsolete, non copper cored plugs.

NGK B7HS-10 or BZ7HS-10 would be also suitable but not BR7HS-10, which are resistor plugs, ( Z in an NGK number denotes inductive suppression. -10 at the end indicates they are supplied gapped at 1.0 mm )

As for the difference between QL82C / L82C and QL77JC4 / L77JC4 .. sorry no idea! A very small difference in heatrating I guess
