E fight e-tra fuel pump

Greetings out there in boat world . I have an E ficht 175 with a kinda weak fuel pump, unavailable to replace. Any thoughts on adding a low pressure 3 to 6 psi pump to augment the lift pump in the motor? I know all the arguments against the motor , but that is what I’ve got for now. Thanks.

Is this the fuel pump repair kit you need by any chance? At the bottom of the page on the fuel components parts page. Rebuild kit #439881 on this site.

They can be replaced. You have to do some minor mods, but they can be replaced.

Basically you have to use a pump from the newer E-Tec motors.

Thanks for the info guys. I’m not a very savvy mechanic, and don’t know that I love you feel comfortable pair in the motor apart to get at the pump, and the local mechanic doesn’t sound too interested in that either. But you never know ,things will change definitely some things to think about.
