Anybody know exactly what to do with the dwell handle on a GT200 1990 Evinrude?
I have a factory manual and they don't say anything about what to do with it? I "assume" it controls a rate of timing ramp up - slow timing or fast timing deltas? I have it timed at idle and WOT 18° BTDC and 5° ATDC hot idle, runs good, but I just want to know... The link was frozen up when I got it. I can see it lets the WOT throttle continue after timing max's out, so does the spring rate control dwell speed? Curious what I can do to improve the tuning of this old looper.
Thanks
