" Is it ok to install 2 batter

" Is it ok to install 2 batteries in parallel in the boat? I want to put a radio and such in my 1989 Thundercraft, and I just happen to get a new battery for free! Thought there might be some charging issues, but nobody can give me a straight answer. If so, Ill put two in and run a switch a/b operation. I just thought that it would be alot easier to set two up and leave it..... any suggestions would be appreciated. "

IT IS PREFFERRED TO RUN TWO BATTERIES IF YOU HAVE THE ROOM. GO TO A MARINE PARTS STORE AND PICK UP A QUALITY MARINE DUAL BATTERY SWITCH AND FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS FOR HOOKING IT UP.

REMEMBER WHEN CRUISING TO YOUR FAVORITY PARTY SPOT TO KEEP SWITCH ON 'BOTH' AND THE SWITCH TO ONE OR THE OTHER TO RUN SYSEMS AT THE BEACH. ALTERNATE WHICH ONE YOU USE SO THEY BOTH GET A WORK OUT AND CHARGE CYCLE.

IT SUCKS TO HAVE 2 DEAD BATTERIES AT THE END OF THE DAY.
