"I suspect that the oil injection pump on my '92 3 cyl DT 25 has quit.I have all the plumbing off the pump, and a small dummy reservoir of oil attached to the input. When i crank the engine, a bit of oil dribbles out of only one of the pump's output nipples. Is this a valid test of the pump?- is there another way? If the pump is shot, will i have any problems running this engine on mixed gas? Dealer says oil injection system also lubricates cylinders, which i won't get with mixed gas- is this true??
Any thoughts?
