"I'm about to put a waterpump on my motor this weekend my Seloc repair manual came in yesterday and when I went to read up on it the instuctions said drain foot, remove gear case, unbolt waterpump and replace impeller. I knew this much already so far the manual is no help, where do you disconect the gear select rod? I saw a C clip under the power head that can be removed but putting it back in looks like fun. Is this where you disconnect it? Any thing else I need to know? I'm not impressed so far and thinking about sending the book back. I put a water pump in my Johnson several years ago and the instructions were specific in the book that I borrowed from a friend (don't know who published that book). Any help would be appreciated."
