Dropping the Lower Unit on a b90 15hp

"I think I must be missing where the shift linkage comes apart. Any idea on where that may be on the motor described in the title?

I'm pretty good with this stuff usually, I hope I'm just overlooking something simple.

motor is a '90 model, with 10 hrs on it. been sitting since '91. i'm changing the water pump before i run it too much.

i shot some pb blaster on #49 before i left it to sit overnight before i came in from the shop."

Well that's the clamp betw

Well that's the clamp between the two halves of the shift rod. You have to remove one of the bolts to pull it off though. (loosen both but remove one)
