"Now that would seen to be a simple thing to do. I read the Seloc description and a version from an on-line source and still I am confused. Seloc says to remove the bottom plug and the top plug or dipstick. The bottom plug does not appear to drain the top section. Am I missing something? There is what appears to be a drain plug at the bottom of the top section, or rather the top of the bottom section, but I do not want to remove it as it is not mentioned in either of the directions I have."

bottom and top lube compartmen

bottom and top lube compartments are not connected. You must drain and refill each separately. There are 2 plugs on each section.

Thanks guys. I think I have it figured out. The plug that I was worried about taking out is the "full" hole for the bottom unit. I learned on another site that the drain plug for the upper unit is on the starboard side of the drive. I have not been back in the shop to check it out yet.
