Application: 2007 5.7 GXi-H w/ DPS-A dou-prop

History: Bought new as a repower pkg. and as of late have had problems with lube oil in Bellows.
no water in just lube oil out

Have brought in for service and it held 3psi for 3 or 4 days............ held Vacuum as well.

Explanation: Dealer thinks I may have overfilled but it did it after they filled it too! and has very season since.

Results: No ill effects from this, no noise, no water, no hard shifting, just lube oil I bellow?????

Questions: Anyone have this happen to them? or anything similar?
Any thoughts

Looks like a fairly easy fix you will need a new crush sleeve a seal and o-ring then be sure and get the proper preload on the double bearings. How old are the crosses now would be a good time to put in new u-joints if age unknown.

I am not certain which model this applies to...... but I believe that one of the first generation DP-S drives (gimbal system drive) had a bearing box issue that could cause main drive gear seal failure.
If so, this would indicate a larger issue than just the seal.

Perhaps do a search on this!
