DP spacers and set up

Just read the post about prop spacers on a DP-A, I've got a 290 DP coupled up to a GM V8 diesel
All that came with the drive was a fwd spacer, a lock-tab washer, a castle type nut, a rear spacer and a spin-on cone with a bolt in it
Should I also have the plastic washer thats been mentioned in the DP-A post, or is it only used on the DP-A

Also, I've read that when fitting the props, they should be fitted in such a way that the blades dont pass each other in the 12 o'clock position, as this may cause cavitation issues
No matter where I position the rear prop, at some point one of the blades pass by the front props blades at that position due to one having 3 blades and the other 4
Is there a method to this, or doesn't it matter
Regards

It seems the only spacer that i dont have is the plastic one thats mentioned in the DP-A post
I've got the other spacers(Have fitted the new props with spacers that came with drive)
Have also run up replacement engine and checked that the 290 dp goes into fwd/rev, also checked that props spin correctly and without any "rubbing/scrapping noises) this is all fine
Can you confirm that what I have done is OK(youre previous post worries me)
I fitted the forward spacer, the front prop, the lock-tag washer, the castle nut, the rear spacer, the rear prop, the spin-on cone the tightened the bolt inside the cone

If each propeller has the corresponding spacer installed, you will be OK.

FWD prop = the large internally splined spacer so that it can slide over the shaft splines.
AFT prop = the small washer looking spacer.

Both spacers rest in the recessed area of each propeller.
If the line cutters are used, the spacer actually fits within this.
Make sure that each fits the bore in the prop.

As for the plastic ring...... I'm not sure what to tell you.

"The larger thicker plastic spacer ring is not used for the B or C series props.
This is for the Diesel engine props."
I just copied this from the "DP-A post"
This was what prompted me to start my post regarding the plastic spacer, which I dont have
Should I find and fit one, or will I be OK with the two I have (one for each prop)
