Hi Guys,
My steering helmet pivot pin is a bit looser in the steering helmet bushing than the last time I had it apart. It still has a nice tight interference fit into the upper gear case. However it no longer has a nice snug fit in the hemet bushing. Is this a safety concern ? Could the helmet lift off the pin and leave me without steering? The boat went onto it's mooring today and I am a bit concerned . Better safe than sorry. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
