1996 mercruiser 4.3 135 hp motor was running perfect at 6000 rpm until it felt like we hit something (which we hadnt) motor ran for another minute before dying ,now it seems like it really wants to start but as soon as i let the key fall back and disengage the starter, there is nothing, (spark is good , gas is good ) but compression test is all over the place, not that i have ever done one before, but only two of six numbers were the same , one was 0 , it was all plugs out , cold , .....should i just chuck this motor away or can they be saved ?
