Distributor vacuum hose

There is a nipple on my mercruiser 4.3 v6 distributor that looks like a vacuum hose is suppose to connect to. If so where does it go to? If not do I just cap it?

It is NOT a vacuum connection. It is a vent to atmosphere.

Leave it alone. Only confirm it is not clogged.
