The cap on the Prestolite dist

The cap on the Prestolite distributor on my 1988 Crusader 454s has no #s for which wire goes to which plug. What the story? Trying to replace wires. Thanks

"You have to get the firing order then put the cap on (only goes one way), and line up the 1st hole TDC, with the #1cylinder, on its outgoing cycle., After doing it once, I labled all my wires with stickers."

Okay. Take one wire off at a time. Replace it with a new wire that's close to the same length.
