Disconnecting lower unit Johnson 135?

Having a hard time disconnecting the shift linkage so I can drop the lower unit.
Help

You need a 5/8" wrench.------Find the 2 arms that go behind the bottom carburetor.-----Loosen that pivot bolt so you can spread those arms.----Shift rod should now be disconnected.

Thank you very much the manual I bought said there was a clip that I never could find?

What kind of manual?----Some manuals are well suited for the little house with the 1/4 moon in the door.
