Did I use the wrong impeller kit? šŸ˜”

My stern drive is alpha1 gen 2 serial number 0F333583. I used quicksilver 8M0100526 water pump kit. Should I have used 817275Q05 Water Pump Impeller Repair Kit instead? It could explain some of my issues if so. Thank you
 
It appears the 5Q05 is more comprehensive. It contains the impeller housing and carrier seal. If all you needed was an impeller change then you're fine with what you did.

Thank you. The impeller is all I needed. I may go with the other the next time to change the housing and carrier seal.

Carrier seal needs changing if the top of the plastic seal carrier gets deformed or it leaks / fails pressure test. O reasone to change the housing unless it gets scored up or impeller melts from running dry

Yea I probably should have changed it. The top was a little melted. Hard to tell the last time it was changed
