Did Evinrude produce a 7hp ? Derated 8hp maybe?

Hi,

I'm in the UK and have acquired what I thought was an early Evinrude 1990's 8hp twin cylinder 2 stroke.

But the model number is BE7RSG the serial is B8908823.

So from the model number this makes it a 7hp?

The leg is painted black and it has a silver top hood cover.

I would be very grateful if somebody could please tell me what I have actually got in terms of year of manufacture?

I have Evinrude BE7RSG 1992, it dies in a minute or so. Help please! Looking for any documentation or diagrams!
Tried the basic stuff, checked fuel lines, got new gas, new tank etc.

New diaphragm in the fuel pump.----You did install a new water pump impeller?----If testing in a bucket , water must be 6" ( 15 cm ) above the impeller.
