2006 injected DF60 with only 1

2006 injected DF60 with only 100 hrs. All maintenance up to date. Boat had been sitting for about 3 mos due to low water conditions. Gas was fresh as of 3 mos ago and Stabill in gas. When I started engine it started just fine and ran for a couple of minutes and stalled. Now it will start just fine and runs briefly (15 to 60 secs) and then stalls abruptly. Restarts just fine but then stalls again.

Thanks but I have a full tank

Thanks but I have a full tank of gas - approx 16 gals. Any kind of additive I can add to this gas. I believe it already has Stabil in it and is only about 4 mos old.

Final analysis: the injector p

Final analysis: the injector ports and the rest of the fuel system for that matter were heavily varnished up. System has been cleaned and the boat is running fine. Never had that happen before but can no longer say that.

"Fuel is fine. Once the ports and needle valve were cleaned it runs like a top. I am afraid I was another victim of Ethanol. None of the deposits were in the fuel tank and the fuel had not phased. So it really wasn't bad gas but the results of the crap they are putting in our gas supplies. Down here in Florida we have the heat factor as well.

u have tons of humidity (water in the air)

alcohol attracts water
when the gas evaporates, it will leave deposits

run seafoam"

"I really do appreciate your feedback. I was just pulling your crank in the last email. We have heat and humidity and when you have ethanol in the tank, that is a recipe for mucho maintenance. I will definitely give Seafoam a try. What are your thoughts on the new marine grade StaBil?"

"My DF150 was doing the same thing. Would start, run for 30 seconds then quit. Turned out to be a bad idle control valve. I spent lots of time focusing on fuel related possibilities and it turned out to be the valve. Have a Suzuki mechanic look at it."
