"I have a 2005 four stroke 115 that will not take throttle over 2800 rpms it bogs down to where it seems as if it will stall if I don't throttle back. I have a brand new Suzuki fuel water separator, and new fuel tank which I just filled up. The only thing I did not do was change the fuel filter on the engine, which I just did now and haven't run it with a load on it yet. My primer bulb is between the tank and the fuel water separator does this make a difference. I have a friend who runs his primer bulb between the fuel water separator and the engine. I can't imagine why that would make a difference, but I'm open to any ideas. The engine runs great at idle and up to around 25-2800rpms. It doesn't seem like the safety neutral switch is sticking making the rev-limiter kick in because it wants to bog down to a stall instead of just cutting out. When I emptied the fuel filter on the engine it did not have any water in it or contaminents that I could see. I appreciate any info. Thanks a lot!!"
