"I have a 2005 four stroke 115 that will not take throttle over 2800 rpms it bogs down to where it seems as if it will stall if I don't throttle back. I have a brand new Suzuki fuel water separator, and new fuel tank which I just filled up. The only thing I did not do was change the fuel filter on the engine, which I just did now and haven't run it with a load on it yet. My primer bulb is between the tank and the fuel water separator does this make a difference. I have a friend who runs his primer bulb between the fuel water separator and the engine. I can't imagine why that would make a difference, but I'm open to any ideas. The engine runs great at idle and up to around 25-2800rpms. It doesn't seem like the safety neutral switch is sticking making the rev-limiter kick in because it wants to bog down to a stall instead of just cutting out. When I emptied the fuel filter on the engine it did not have any water in it or contaminents that I could see. I appreciate any info. Thanks a lot!!"

I have the same problem with m

I have the same problem with my twin Df200's(2006. The dealer tells me it is the high speed fuel pumps that have corrosion in them due to the water that is associated with ethynol fuels. After replacing thousands of dollars in fuel delivery system parts he tells me it is not warrented although the owners manual states that you can run ethynol fuels as long as they do not exceed 10%. I'm suppose to get the boat by this afternoon.
