"I have a 2006 DF 140 on the back of My Blazer Bay and I am having problems with it. I can run all day as long as I stay under 5000 rpm`s, but when I get to 5000 rpm`s the motor drops the rmp`s back to idle which is between 5 and 700 rpm`s. I have drained the fuel/water filter and there was no water in it. I am wondering if it is the primer buld, fuel pump or the injectors.
Any help would reall be great."

"I have not had a chance to check the primer bulb yet. I tried to run the motor in My driveway and all it would do is rev up and down when I gave it the throtle, like I was gunning the motor.
The bulb is only 2 years old and is below a lid so it does not see much sun light. I have looked at it and there are no cracks in it that can be seen."

I took it to the dealer last week so I will keep you informed as to what it is. Thanks for all the information that I have had.
 
The dealer called Me today and

The dealer called Me today and told Me that the fuel pump is bad and that it is covered so there will be no charge for it. I also had the dealer do some other little odd`s and end`s on My boat which comes to about $350.00 so I got off easy with the motor troubles. The dealer also told Me that the batteries for the trolling motor will not hold a charge?? They are only 2 years old and he wanted to know if I would like for them to put new batteries in. I told him that I would take care of it Myself as I don`t want to replace the batteries every 2 years. I would like to know what the group thinks is the best batteries to use for a 24 volt trolling motor.
