I just "rebuilt" the carb on my 1968 40hp Evinrude and now it won't fire off. Starter engages fine, engine turns but wont start. There is fuel to the carb. It started before I rebuilt it. Plugs not wet after start attempt. Haven't chkd spark but assuming its OK(???). Replaced hi-spd nozzle during rebuild. When rebuilding, I pulled low-spd nozzle for cleaning and there was a small rubber seal that was disintegrating so i had to throw away. Replaced with small o-ring. Could this have anything to do with the fuel metering during start?
