Engine bad misfiring over 2000rpm, cool fuel module gen 2

What I have checked
Fuel quality/ no water in
Fuel filters changed
Fuel reg cleaned
Idle fuel pressure aprox 40 psi
Spark plugs looks fine
Distributor looks fine

Anybody has experience? - not so many in Denmark 🇩🇰

You need to check the fuel pressure underload, at various RPMs..

If that engine has the HVS distributor (crab cap), replace it with an OEM part...they have notoriously short operating lifetimes...

Agree with makomark if distributor cap has not been changed do that to rule out the issue. Same as check fuel pressure when running

There is also a service bulletin 2003-06 which list a possible fix for misfire HSV

Don't know if you have cable shift or digital shift, but in either case there is a switch on the shift plate. The switch is the in-gear switch. If the ECM thinks the motor is in neutral it will cause a misfire but normally the alarm sounds. Do you hear the beeps when key is turned ON?

I have just checked fuel pressure, and i Think it looks fine under load/misfiring , approx 40psi. I’ll tjeck the switch… but No problem and no beeb up to 1800 rpm, so I don’t think it’s the switch
