Decrease water flow from right bank during flushing

"I own a Mercury, small V8 I/O

"I own a Mercury, small V8 I/O Alpa drive, it does not have a closed loop cooling system. The boat has less than 15 hours of operating time. The boat is used in salt water, Indian river lagoon system eastern Florida, and never left overnight in the water. The boat is hauled after each use and the engine is flushed. I use a product called Salt Away that is added to the engine flush. I have been noticing the flow of discharged water from the right bank (looking at the motor) is 1/8 of the flow from the left bank. When I touch the risers there is a noticeable heat difference although both sides are able to be touched without burning. My question is: What products are available to flush the cooling system and remove the scale that is restricting the cooling flow. Thanks"

"You have what is called "

"You have what is called "fresh water" water cooling; your engine uses the body of water it is in to cool it. Is it overheating? What year and model engine is it? If you have a "T" ball valve on top of the T'stat housing one of the check balls could be stuck. The hoses from the "T" send cooling water to the riser. You could just have some scale built up in the exhaust manifold and riser. It requires removal for cleaning. If they are over 3-5 years old, just replace them if they are plugged when you check them."
