"My 5.7 Volvo 2000 engine was showing some low compression on 2 cylinders. So the cylinder head gaskets were damaged but when my mechanic took the cylinder heads to a machine shop to be fixed, they told him they are in too bad condition to be fixed. Is that possible? The engine is 6 years old and it is the first time it has been opened. I thought this kind of work can be done a few times.
