Cylinder head corrosion

I have a 1986 Force 125hp Outboard that I am rebuilding. The engine is in great condition but the cylinder head has corrosion inside from years of use but is cleaning up very nice. Is there anything I can do to the interior of the head to prevent or slow the corrosion in the future? I was thinking of marine grade paint but I am afraid it might overheat if I do that. Does Force offer a sealant for the head to slow and or prevent corrosion? It's literally the only bad looking parts that I am able to locate and I would love to prevent any new issues.

The only thing you can do is flush after each use.
Possibly sandblast the cavity's and paint???
Put in a sacrificial anode??? Probably won't help much.
The heat from the cylinders at the head gasket cooks the gunk/plankton/salt in the water.
It deposits right there at the hot spots.Finding the smallest crack/crevis to buildup in.
They sell a flush but I've never used it.
I just flush after EVERY use.No mater how long I was out.
You in salt water??Profile,location?

Thanks for the info. I have never used the boat, I bought it with a bad power head and I am rebuilding it now. The head isn't in real bad shape but I am seeing pitting and mild corrosion. I am cleaning it now and I think I might try and apply a mild paint sealer to see if if slows the process in the future. I had planned on flushing the motor after each use. I live in central Florida with a huge amount of both salt and fresh water but my primary usage will be red fish, snook and other lagoon fishing.

I think we spoke a while back when I first got the boat. I was looking for a block at that time. Here is an odd thing that I noticed on my cylinder head, It has no gasket between the head cover and the main head???? Is it suppose to have a gasket or do I seal it some other way?
