Cylinder boring

Hi,
i need advice on cylinder boring.
I have two engines : 92 e90 tlen v4 & 86 e50belcd (2 cyl)
one cylinder in each needs boring o/s all others ok.
According to omc bulletin #2182 only bad cylinder needs boring.
Is this still standard practice or has a new bulletin been issued that i don't have ??

It is an acceptable procedure to bore one cylinder if the others are good and there is little wear on the other piston/s and rings.
