"Hi All, I am no longer looking for an easy out regarding the repairs to one of my 454 blocks and I did give up on the notion that any of this is a magic fix.

Does anyone out there have enough experience with these engines to know IF the cyclinder heads are prone to warping ( as many aluminum automobile heads do ). I am getting ready to rebuild the top end of the port engine and I am questioning whether or not this could be the source of my problem. Have the Crusader heads been known to have this problem or would you think it is reasonably rare?"

Glad to hear that. Of course, I will check it when its off BUT it helps reduce my ANXIETY before I get started. While a 1935 Harley flathead or a 1925 Henderson 4 is a piece of cake, a V-8 is uncharted water for me."
