Cyc not firing

Hi, I sure need some help. I have a 200HP V6 Johnson Looper. Cyc number one stops firing when it drops to slow. I can't figure this out.

Check your spark when this happens. Should jump a 7/16 " open air gap on a tester. As a guess, could be a pack, coil or timer base.

I have seen this before. Timer base is bad. It is NOT the pack.

My first thought was the pack too. I have seen a single cyl drop out immediately when QS disengages only twice. Both times it was the TB.

How about this? A case of beer says it is the TB.....you drink beer?

I have two theories when someone does not post the solution, one is they are too embarrassed because of something stupid or two they just dont care about other people and just here for free advise. Either way it is still rude not to post the results/solutions for other people. We all have done a stupid thing or ten in my case if you gain something try and give back. JMHO

Weak coil? Switch with a good firing coil to check.
