Crusader v belt cross reference

Hello Gang,

Could someone possibly cross a couple of Crusader V belts to say Gates, Goodyear, or NAPA for me?
10258 which is a sea water pump belt and 6745 which drives the alt. Both are for a 1985 454 engine
350 hp. I have tried my sources but have come up with nothing.

Thank You
Jon Allen

I can get you some aftermarket numbers but it won't be til later tonight (EDT)...

Based on memory, the raw water pump belt is 17/32" wide and the circ pump/alt belt is 15/32 wide (at the top, without wear). you can measure the outer circumference of the belt, in inches - that becomes the last portion of the "part number" (three digits, without the decimal point). as an example, a 15/32 wide belt that measures 40.5" would be a #15405.

Tnx...i searched previous posts and found 17325 (17320) for the raw water pump and 15435 (15430) for the alternator. (yes, i fixed my typo driven by my meory fault)...

on the raw water pump, I found it was easier to remove the two mounting bolts, slide the belt on, and then reinstall the bolts and tighten them.

Sorry for the lag...got pre-empted last night...the difference within a pair of part numbers given above is 1/2"...I think I use the longer ones...the parenthesized numbers were in another's post. Measure the OD of the belts you have and it should give you better insight...

I have a spare set of belts on the boat, but can not get to them now. Here is some onfo that may help, it is from another forum:

1988 11 Meter Trojan with 454 FWC engines: Gates - the raw water pump belt # is 9330 12.5mm x 850mm the alternator belt is #7470 9.5/10mm x 1210mm

hope I didn't steer you wrong...I peeked last night and saw an old set of 47" and 43.4" belts in my locker...then I pulled the hatch and remembered I swapped the motorola Alternators for the 10SI style...so the 47" is probably the correct one for the stock alternators...

Mike - they should be good for any MarkIV block using the v-belts....
