I am buying a boat with twin 4

I am buying a boat with twin 454's that have compression readings that vary from 125 - 140 on both engines with 750 hours. Are these readings good? average? bad? I appreciate your help.

I'm about ready to purchas

I'm about ready to purchase a 1988 370 C. C. Amerosport. Does anyone have any information about what to expect or what I should be looking for on a boat like this? Are there any inherent problems you may be aware of?

To me those are average readings.If they were taken when engine was warm,all plugs out and throttle open, they will be higher than on a cold motor one plug at a time.Might want to see how old the manifold and risers are before purchase.Surveyer should lead the way for you...Todd"
