Has anyone fixed a bad tach by following the TSB put out by Marine Power where you move one of the ECU J1 pins? (inserted below). I actually went to try this but was confused by "move the tach wire" because there's a red wire in position 12 already. I took "move" as replace but maybe "move" means splice into the red wire (it stays in place) and no de-pinning needed.
I also have the MSD external tach driver but wanted to double check where (the two pink wires on top connector?) I make the splice. Has anyone done that successfully? If I go this route, it looks like I need to cut both of the pink wires/tie them together and connect end to two of the wires on the MSD box (so two 3 wire connections).
