Crusader 6.0l engine temp

Should be about 170 degrees... 160-180 is normal

You haven't stated what the problem is............ or are you merely looking for specifications.

If it is overheating.............. the first place I would go is the raw water impeller.

Thanks Don. I have two Crusader engines in a recently purchased Tiara. Both engines run at about 178 degrees. Was told by the prior owner that 180 was normal. I just wanted to hear from someone else as to what was normal
 
The 6.0L parts manual calls for a 170* thermostat so about 175 running temp seems appropriate. I have 8.1L engines also with 170* thermostats and both engines run at about 175* at cruise 3200-3500 rpm. I believe the the normal cruise for the 6.0L engines may be closer to 3800-4000 rpm so a little higher temp may be normal.
