"Hi,
After Quadrajet Rochester carb overhaul, on my RH Crusader 305 engine, I am experiencing loss of power at high RPM. It does not last long, but it happened 7 or 8 times at the speed of 3000 rpm on a route of about 10 miles. I thought the high speed screws adjustment would make a difference, but no change was noticed. I left them at 3 turns out. The LH engine runs great and both carbs were overhauled at the same time.

Clogged fuel filters first show a problem at high power settings. Especially if you notice a smooth reduction in power.

"where are the "high speed screws" you adjusted? Three turns would be a nominal value for the idle mixture screws; these won't make any difference at 3000 rpm.

Make sure the spring was correctly installed with the filter at the inlet nut. Like Dave said, check all of the filters in the inlet side.

How was the cam the lifts the secondary rods?"
