I have a 83 ER 50hp 2cyl. Is it normal to have even the slightest side play at the top bearing of the crank ???
 
How much is slight?????.If a

How much is slight?????.If a bearing was tight it would seize up.The upper bearing is a roller bearing and it MUST have clearance to do its job.
