Crankcase Valve Assy Help

Hello everyone,

Firstly, really grateful to you all for all the help so far.

I have corroded Crankcase Valve Assys on my 1995 Yamaha 70hp 2 stroke. I’ve found replacement parts, but no idea how I remove the old and replace them? They have no threads.

It’s only two I need to change.

Seems to be a press fit.

Using an extraction tool (Vice Grips come to mind) pull the old part out.

Then use a percussion tool (hammer comes to mind) to insert the new part.

Might help to heat the section of the block that surrounds the part (and/or chill the old/new part) to help with the removal and insertion.
