I picked up a nice clean older 6hp Johnson for the cottage, and am checking it over now. There is a small diameter rubber tube that goes from bottom to top of crankcase that has some surface cracks in it. I'm wondering what the purpose is of this hose, and what might be used as a suitable replacement. I checked the parts catalog, but they skip that item for some reason. It's number 14 below. Thanks for any advice offered!
