Cracked Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 2 intake hose

The intake hose coming from the outdrive to the Gimbal housing appears cracked. No water leaking out but some waterproof commercial grade tape for now until I find the parts I need. (Any tips on installation without taking the outdrive off? Looks pretty easy to fix just need the correct parts)

Get the pre molded one,lot easier to work with
shift into full fwd, remove drive
raise gimbal housing and cut oil res hose in half
pull inner ring out and release bellows
remove sender and limit pucks, remove hinge pins,cut water inlet hose
remove tywrap or clamp from shift cable ,lube and pull housing back a bit
remove clamp and water inlet hose from housing and gimbel
