Could someone verify year model for me

I need to start with the basics - I've gone to Brownspoint and looked up my numbers:
14003-861356.........

What year is my motor? I'm thinking it's a 98 if I understand the "starting serials"

DT140 98year -
First three number of first part number indicates horsepower, which mean you have 140.
Fist number of the second part indicates year. You have two stroke engine, thus it would be 1998.
