An electirc fuel pump is a risky option on a recreational motor. You will need to come up with a safety circuit to shut the pump off when the motor stops or is stopped. Otherwise you run the risk of a fuel leak or even seepage of the needle valves leading to an explosive situation. If you decide to do the electric pump regardless, just remove the VRO pump from the motor. Bypass the fuel line around the pump, plug the oil and pulse hoses. On a 60 deg motor, the pump would have to be in the same place in the fuel system to avoid pressurizing the seperator tank.
If the VRO is still pumping fuel, why change it? If it's not, there is a replacement pump availible to run with premix. That's your safest and most reliable solution. I don't like the idea of an electric pump.
