Corrosion trim motor casing on 115hp merc

"I have a 2002 115hp mercury 2

"I have a 2002 115hp mercury 2 stroke, the trim motor casing is continually getting corroded. I have stripped and repainted motor casing. I have changed main anode on engine bracket, but motor casing starting to corrode again. I have checked electrical contection of anode and this is OK. I understand the OE anode is aluminium would fitting a zinc one help?"

"WHat kind of water are you in, Magnesium are best for fresh, zinc for salt, I think the aluminum are like a cross breed compromise."

"Take the trimmotor casing of, grind it and put 2 layers of Fiberglass over it. That should do it"
