Corrosion on Skegs

I have two 2023 Yamaha 304 strokes on my boat that sits on a lift with 100 hours on it and my problem is the skegs are corroding so bad that the metal is pitted beyond repair. It won’t be long before Holes start to form. My dealer said it’s not covered under my warranties. Any suggestions?

Is the lower unit completely out of the water?-----Any AC power to the lift ?

The lift is always unplugged and no battery chargers, or any other electric going to the

They said it because I have electrical current in my canal so its not covered. Still under warranty for 6 months then the extended kicks in

Just the skegs corroding? On two motors side by side?

Does not sound like a material or workmanship defect.

Something external to the motors is causing the problem.

What are the condition of the engine anodes? If this is galvanic activity they should be eaten away. Is the boat hanging in heavy salt air? (assuming a saltwater environment)

This could be caused by someone using a generator that isn't bonded or might be wired with reverse polarity. People doing their own electrical work can be lethal.
